I love how straightforward the story is. No nonsense or anything, you're just the Warriors of Light pretty much straight off the bat. It takes me back to the good ol' days of FFI.

Job class system, the game having a sense of humour, good characters, boko(boco)
Job system, soundtrack, a good break from the serious tone of previous FFs (and those that would come after). It's a damn shame it didn't come stateside initially.

I appreciate that most jobs, unlike in FF3, remain useful throughout the entire game.
The world map. I thought (and still think) that the way it all got put together was the coolest thing ever.

The world maps were really great, for sure. I also appreciated the design of the Void. It's a very unique dungeon and I kind of wish more RPGs tried things like that.
