What are all of you Yankees doing for Independence Day?
Playing video games, and wishing I was working so I could get time and a half.
I am not a Yankee but I dined at an American Restaurant hoping to get a discount.
Too bad it did not happen.

We have Waitangi Day, but that is more a day of political unrest than celebration. At the moment it is actually Matariki, the Maori New Year! I am trying to think of something to do, but...I don't really know what I can do alone, in the opposite hemisphere, without any of the ingredients or resources necessary to celebrate. I guess I'll just...go for a walk and try not to be overwhelmed with homesickness?

Checking out some of the local music and will probably miss the fireworks while going from one venue to the other :v
