Inside Sin and Macalania Woods connection?

I'm at the Nucleus part of inside Sin, where you collect the orbs and crystals pop up starting battles.

I noticed there is a similarity between that and the pond in Macalania Woods where Yuna and Tidus get it on. The main thing is the tree that has what looks like a glowing bee hive stuck to it is in the pond is also in the Nucleus inside Sin. This area also has the same hue as Macalania Woods.

Coincidence or subtle connection?

Didn't the weird band guys say that the Woods were connected to the dream? I think that was in X-2. They supposedly were going to disappear w/ the Woods.

That rings a bell. I think the bird guy says that in Macalania forest. I need to go back and check that now.
