I'd like to mention the Visual Novel Database. It's a pretty good resource on technical details for visual novels. Things like estimated length, release details, links to buy or download them, as well as any sequels/prequels/spinoffs or details on the publisher or developer.

Pretty much the first thing I do whenever I consider getting a visual novel is look it up on vndb.
