All this talk of TTT2 is making me want to get it! But I'm busy with Tales of Graces f at the moment and I've just recently bought Tales of Xillia and FFX | X-2 in the July PSN sale. So me thinks I'll pass on it for now!

Goodness, I adore Tekken Tag Tournament 2. My team was normally Leo and either Asuka or Xiaoyu, but I had the most success with Yoshimitsu + Kunimitsu. If I ever get access to the game again, I'd love to play online with some EoFFers.
Oh gosh! You're going to make me take the plunge! I'm totally buying it tonight =p
I mean, it will be a while before Tekken 7 so I might as well! I think for my first fight I'll try Asuka and Lily!
You won't regret it. It's so much fun and the replay value will keep you tied up 'til T7. Try out different teams and see which characters styles you think complement each other.
My teams were:
Yoshi/Paul
Armor King/A Ogre
Str8 Pimpin'
As of Tekken 6 I main Baek, Alisa, and Hwoarang.
I don't know if this is true for all versions of TTT2, but on the Wii U version you can map certain attacks to a face button + L, and the defaults normally make some pretty simple sample combos. That's really the only reason I ever experienced any success online.
pretty sure you can't do this in the other versions
also would be completely tournament banned anyway

can you hear me in the void?
I think it's a feature they put in for scrubs like me.
scrubs, wiiu
sounds likely, yeah
that said, I really suck at execution in fighting games myself

Here's the reveal trailer for those who haven't seen it.
Looks like Kazumi Mishima (Kazuya's mother/Heihachi's wife) will be a featured character. She might even be a new usable character. She mentions that Kazuya must realise by now that he's inherited her powers before it cuts to him doing a bit of Super Saiyan thing before a fight against Heihachi. Interesting to see what this means.. It appears to have no connection to the Devil power that Kazuya acquired back before Tekken 2. I wonder if this'll mean an altered fighting style for Kazuya.
I wonder who the shadow that opens the doors at the beginning is? The obvious person would be Jin, who's always fought with the intention of ending the Mishima bloodline. He's probably tasking himself with the duty of killing his father and grandfather again. However, at 31 seconds in, the shadow doesn't appear to have the right body shape for Jin. The pants don't have the traditional baggyness and it looks like he's hunched over - kinda like Devil Jin, but without the wings.
Most interestingly is the declaration that this will be "The Final Battle". Final battle for the Tekken series? Or just for the Mishimas?

Jack: How do you know?
Will: It's more of a feeling really.
Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?
Will: No.
If Demolition Man were remade today
Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
Huxley: NO!
Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
Spartan: But Huxley.
Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.
By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
I'll end up buying this. I didn't get TTT2 but I put a lot of time into T6. My main was Asuka and I also got pretty good with Alisa and Steve.
Yeah I mean it was ok, it wasn't terrible or anything but I got so much more enjoyment out of Tekken 3 before it and 5 after. And I so downloaded the sound track.
It was pretty unbalanced too. Jin was unquestionably the best character to use.
It did, however, introduce walls and some great characters (Mokujin > Combot).
