I think it has. You can tell Xenoblade Chronicles and the Last Story took some cues from it. Those games were both incredible well received. Make of that what you will.
I definitely felt its influence on Xenoblade. Honestly, I wish it would have had a bigger influence on JRPGs!
not as much as it should.
