As there are only smaller threads for Dragon Ball but a great one about Sailor Moon and others I am gonna make a Dragon Ball thread here where people can talk about everything concering it. It will take awhile until I am done but you can start posting already.

The main character and hero of the story of Dragon Ball. Goku is a Saiyajin from planet Vegeta that has been sent to Earth when he was little. Since then he was raised by adopted Grandfather Son-Gohan who gave him the name "Goku". His original saiyan name is "Kakarott".
When Gohan was dead and Goku was living alone on Mt. Paozu, he was found by Bulma when he was 12. She introduced him to the world outside and what the Dragon Balls are. Later he became a student of Muten-Roshi, the Earth God (Kami), King Kai and others gods to become better in martial arts as well as he found many friends this way, no matter how odd the circumstances might have been. Fighting is his ultimate passion and other than almost all Saiyajin Goku is a merciful fighter who only fights to challenge himself and not to fulfill his desire to destroy his enemy.
He is known for the Kame Hame-Ha which he has learned from his master Roshi and for his Super-Saiyajin transformations.
Special Techniques he often uses are the Kame Hame-Ha, Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb), Kaioken and Instant Transmission (Teleportation).
He is married to Chichi, the Ox King's daughter and has two sons, Son-Gohan who was named after his Grandpa and Son-Goten who looked like him when he was a child.

Goku's lovely yet short-tempered wife. She is very concerned when it comes to family and child education. Though she knows Goku needs to save the world, whether it being with his son or not she does mostly not care and especially wants Gohan to have a normal life. When it gets serious she can't say no to her husband though.
She fell in love immediately when she met Goku for the first time and wanted to marry him. After she confronted him in one of the Tenkaichi Budokai, the Great World Tournaments, she got what she wanted - the proposal, though a very uncommon one as Goku did not know what marriage was about until this point and thought it was food. With his promise in mind he accepted and they married after the tournament. Though it does no seem like Goku cares much about marriage and parenthood the ordinary way he often enough shows his wife and sons his actual affection.
Son-Gohan

The first born son of Goku. Half Saiyajin, half human Gohan was the first hybrid Saiyajin ever. He has an incredible potential that comes to the surface every time he angers and learns to control certain levels of it after a series of deadly battles against Vegeta, Freezer, Cell and Boo, being it through training, fighting for what he loves or the magical help of others.
Gohan is no fighter-type and does not enjoy fighting other than his father. Also when he gets control of the battle he becomes to overconfident just like it is normal for Saiyajins like Vegeta or even Goku. Gohan however tends to mess up often in those situations just as Vegeta does. Even without control of his power he first feared to hurt anyone with his power and could never really get into it without the right trigger.
After Goku sacrificed his life to save the world from the bionic creature, the cyborg Cell, Gohan ultimate avenged his father and unleashed his power with the spiritual help of Goku. Afterwards, when he was a teenager he finally attended a public High School and met Videl who fell in love with him.
At that time, when the next danger approached and was about to terrorized Earth the Elder Kaiohshin helped Gohan to unlock an immense potential of power which he could unleash without the effort of becoming a Super-Saiyajin, making it a way more efficient form than his father's Super-Saiyajin 3 that was super-powerful but came with a strain in exchange that Gohan's "Ultimate" form does not have.
He became a scientist later and married Videl. Together they have a daughter named Pan that has the fighting spirit of Goku and often the short-temper of Videl.

Profile:
Naive yet good-hearted just like his father. Goten is the lively second son of Goku and the best friend of Trunks. He is more interested in fighting than his older brother though that also lessens when he gets older. As a child he already very early showed a great potential by easily becoming a Super-Saiyajin and togeter with Trunks he was the first known DB character to successfullly use the fusion techniquem which merged the two to one warrior for 30 minutes. In Dragon Ball GT he has a very naive girlfriend that he is very interested in by far more than martial arts which he already pretty much let out lesson-wise whenn Dragon Ball Z ended.

Profile:
The kind, yet short-tempered young daughter of Gohan and Videl. Pan is very independent for her age but does also not always know when it is time for her to slow down or probably even be quiet in moments where her behaviour is not the most appropriate. Despite that, she has a big heart which is a good as that of her grandfather and father. She is powerful female character that exists if Oceana Shenron is not counted as such.

Profile:
Gohan's wife and the daughter of Mr. Satan, one of the greatest martial artists among normal humans. She is embarassed by her father's reaction when it comes to his own career because she knows how much he actually shows off without having done several things people believe. Her skills are way more advanced than those of her father and she was ambitious enough to learn how to fly from Gohan. She is also pretty short-tempered but actually a good person with a great sense fof justice.
