    Default Final Fantasy Origins

Same question as the Anthology thread. I'm curious how many people played the "Origins" re-release of I and II and how they compare to all the other versions out there. Once again, this was my introduction to the classic games and I never tried the GBA re-release, the PSP re-release, or the originals for that matter.

Origins is where I finally got a chance to play FFII and finally finish FFI, so they sort of serve as my introduction as well. I generally feel that if you want to play something close to the original for these two titles they are the best choices because later ports seriously screw with the difficulty while not improving much else. I still prefer the buggy NES version of FFI over Origins though Origins is my next choice. DoS and the PSP ports just dumb the games down too much for my taste and for games that lacked complex writing, the gameplay is all they really have going for them so making them easy made me wonder what the point was to playing them.
