Part 7 - TRAITOR MCTRAITORO

Alrighty so we make it to Fabul in one piece, without looking at a googles map or anything

After talking to everyone in the castle and having them all sound like a broken record, we go see the king

Ugh get off it king



See, Edward isn't totally useless!

I feel bad though because he seems like a nice guy



No pressure or anything



So we head over to the gate, sans the ladies, to defend the castle



We fight and win and then the Red Wings start bombing the place



"We're outnumbered. I'm sorry I brought you and added to our numbers"

So we fight some more



This plan seems to be going south rather quickly.







I like how monsters in this game wear matching capes



And now we're in the throne room. Ugh



This is brilliant



So another fight of course



WHAT KIND OF AWFUL PLAN IS THIS



Edward gets attacked so we head back to protect him and get in to another fight

And then head right in to the Crystal room



No, he's a ghost. Ghost Kain



I see what happened there



He just told you to save your breath

So anyways, he did like 100 damage, which wasn't too bad, and then he followed it up with over 4000 damage which is just

No way he leveled up that quickly



Cecil seems kind of dense sometimes

I mean he totally could be under Golbez's spell, I dunno, I haven't played that far.

But anyways, Kain goes to kill Cecil and then Rosa walks in



That's what I said



Uh oh, someone is in trouble



They really like saying names in this game, don't they?

Except he doesn't kill anyone so that whole speech sounds really dumb now

Part 8 - I Have A Feeling I'm Not Wanted Here

So we head to the Inn for a rest and to discuss our next move

I find a small town close to where I was called Mysidia, where the people don't seem to happy to see me

I'm really not sure what's up with Dark Knights. They can't date, they can't overcome evil.... It seems like they have quite the handicaps



It's video game time. We've got all the time in the world

Part 9 - Mt. Ordeals Is An Ordeal

Alrighty so we head over to Mt. Ordeals (good name) and find it blocked by random fire. What is with mountains in this game?



But she ISN'T WEARING ONE

Biggest plot twist of the game



Fun fact: Blizzard is a dog who nonchalantly peed on sharky



So Palom is super happy with himself before Porom shoots that down

Which means I probably have 3 more boss fights!

Ahem so, back at the mountain, (after escaping every fight) we run in to an old bearded friend

So this leads to a boss fight of me attacking while Bluffing Palom a few times. I forgot about that awesome command

Anyways it ends pretty quickly

So luckily I remember from the last time I played that I have to defend to win this fight

Meanwhile, Palom and Porom have something to get off their chest







And of course since this is a video game, they can't just tell him now, they have to wait for the perfect exact right moment

Part 10 - Back To Baron

Okay so I'm going to preface by saying I got tired of grinding today and I have other things to do so I added cheat codes. This is for future battles if you see me with max HP, its not because I grinded for that long xD

So we head down from Mt. Ordeals and go find the Elder of Mysidia and he is amazed I have become a Paladin







GASP!!!!! I AM SHOCKED BEYOND BELIEF

Oh look, a legend! In an RPG game? Unheard of!

The main character in an RPG being the one the legend spoke of? Also unheard of!!!



We learn that the Elder and Tellah know each other already. Maybe they meet for an old dude's club, I dunno



The elder seems less enthused

So we go to leave and the twinsies follow

So we head over to Baron, which doesn't take very long at all

So I have to fight some guards WHO WON'T STOP CASTING MINI

And then I fight Yang who has a ridiculous amount of HP. Finally

So we go to the Inn to talk more privately



Introductions and stuff happen. Palom makes a rude comment about Yang being so out of it, Porom scolds him, etc



But sneaking in to the castle won't be easy, he says

Part 11 - FFIV Makin Me Cry

Okay so it is time to infiltrate Baron!



That didn't work

So I sneak in through an underground(?) waterway(?) path to get to the castle, which has really cut down on security since I was last here. Much less lively than it used to be.



Oh good. This guy



I didn't think anyone would fall for this, but apparently Cecil left some of his brain cells in his Dark Knight helmet



So apparently he shall join me!



Uh huh. That lasts all of 4 seconds



You tell him Palom



I like how even when she's being rude, she's polite about it

"You're a big fat liar and your acting sucks. No offense though"



Oh look who finally caught on



BOSS FIGHT



So a note about my cheat. It gives me max HP, but all of my other stats remain the same. So this was still a long enough fight, I just didn't have to worry about dying. I also still have to grind some to get my characters to level up and learn new abilities. So the cheat was basically just to make it easier to move through it to get this LP up daily and such.



So we head on in to the throne room



Cecil is all like "YOUR MAJESTY?!?!"



And the secret is out



That's a bit rude to say about a coworker



So I apparently forgot to screencap that fight. He's a big blue turtle. Weak against Thunder spells. There you go!



Cecil needs a new greeting instead of just always yelling out people's names.



That was forever ago Cid, get with the program



So they start arguing because why not at a time like this



Introductions begin



So we head to go find the airship, but apparently not having learned from the last fiend who showed up after we thought he was defeated, this one also tricks us



The walls start caving in and I get all teary eyed because I know what happens next

Stupid game making me cry



I am legitimately sad right now



So the doors get unlocked magically now somehow?



Meanwhile, Golbez is a jerk



Why is it a problem?



This is why you don't make deals with bad guys



Yeah, nothing like kidnapping a girl, holding her against her will, betraying yours and her country, and trying to kill the man she loves to get her to love you.

Totally proving you're the better man here, Kain







So they go through the wall and down the stairs



So we get on the airship and head up in to the sky



Oh Kain. Such a card



That works too



Cecil tells him to wake up, but Kain is done talking and he leaves



And that is all for today. That is where I stopped playing last time because the twinsies died, so I have no idea what happens next

Part 12 - Oops I Did Things Out of Order

Well the boyfriend has me on bedrest as to avoid further aggravating my back, which means MORE VIDEO GAMES!!

Now that I have my airship, I go explore some places, including one place that has a pig, a mini, and a frog dance for me.

I also stop by Mysidia





And finally head to the place where I am supposed to go. It is very pretty, but there seems to be some things...



I think that guy is hiding in the bushes and peeping on women swimming



And I forked over some cash for this

I am not impressed

And also

I found the Chocobo Village and rode a black chocobo and found this area in the town





So on to the castle

Interesting? How much of a concern is that, because I don't really feel like changing equipment



And so tomorrow I shall venture to see the Crystal thieving Dark Elf so that I may steal the Crystal and get backstabbed by Kain and Golbez

You're going to have to get some equipment together, it shouldn't be too hard. Anything metallic equipped on a character causes them to have "Paralyze" permanently set in battle.

I go with this setup:

Cecil: GreatBow and Thunder Arrows, Twist Headband, Kenpogi and Ruby Ring
Cid: Wooden Mallet, Twist Headband, Kenpogi and Ruby Ring
Yang: Whatever claws you want, Twist Headband, Kenpogi and Ruby Ring
Tellah: No changes, but put a Ruby Ring on him, cuz Iron and Mythril Rings are no good

Also, you should stock up on Mythril Weapons and Armor cuz you'll need them later. This is gonna be expensive...I hope you have a lot of money, but I guess with your cheats you shouldn't need too much in the way of weapons to beat the Dark Elf.
