Part 17 - How Many Playable Characters Are There?

I will be leaving for the weekend tomorrow so I decided to get another update in here before I go!

First I go and tell Yang's wife the news



She doesn't take it well

Then I head back to Baron and go see Cid's daughter



Awkward.

And then I go talk to Cid's men like he asked me to



Oh yeah. The hovercraft



I think that's a pretty big hint as to where I'm going




....


So I head to the place they said



Oh look!



Hmm you know I'm starting to wonder. I suddenly have an open spot in my party, this is a Ninja place, they keep talking about the prince, I just got a some ninja stuff in a chest...

Isn't it a bit late in the game for new playable characters? My goodness there's a lot of them

So I head over to the tower of Babel and find the prince



Ouch







So they duel and Egde loses badly after I take my max HP cheat off because the fight wouldn't end

I have to say... This is a really pretty window colour



The heroes. Obviously



So he doesn't want to join me. I am okay with that



Well turns out he can't stand a lady crying so he changes his mind



See?

Roa cures him.

Is it just me or does Rosa have the cutest sprite ever

So we head on over to the tower of Babil again

Gettin real sick of this place



Edge goes through the wall because why not.

So anyways, up the tower (down?) we go



"Alive"



So a creepy boss fight starts



Before long his parents snap out of it and realize they have become monsters. It's actually pretty touching



And they leave and Edge is all sad



This... this is interesting? What's up with Rubicante?



....I am pretty speechless right now. GJ Final Fantasy IV



Edge learns two more skills. So to get him to learn new skills, I have to anger him. Maybe steal his lunch money or put a nail in his shoe



So we fight against him and his stylish cape and we win



That seems to imply he'll be back. Will he be back?



Edge's posse shows up a bit late to the party



Still think that plan sounds loony



oh yay woo



I do have to admit, Edge has been through a lot in the past few minutes



So we head in to the Crystal room

Seriously, why does everyone just have a crystal room readily available?



This was honestly the quickest I'd ever seen Cecil react to anything.

So we fall through the floor



And eventually find a random airship



Rly Rydia



And now we are back in teh underworld with our new Airship the Falcon.

Part 18 - Summons and Stuff

So I'm in the underworld and I see that basically the only place I can go is back to the Dwarf Castle because I can't fly over lava.

At least I get to hear the cool music again.

So I get there and someone tells me about someone in the infirmary... hmm



Speaking of which, what the heck ever happened to Edward



Instead of answering, he and Edge get in to some verbal powpow as Cid seems to do





Ahem so anyway



Oh I thought he had them all. Am I ever behind



That's what I said!



The dwarfs want him to rest up but he isn't having it



So we see a little airship work montage and he and Edge do some silent bonding(?)

Then the music changes



Is he dying



No. No he isn't

So I let him rest and go speak with the King



Because the last plan worked out so well



I feel a bit odd bringing the key to the Cavern right to where Golbez is trying to unseal the cavern



I feel like the crystals are a big source of stress for everybody

BUT FIRST



And find the right cave I do



Pretty ugly so far

And I get burned a lot




A LOT

So eventually I arrive in the summon mcsummonville



All good facts



BOSS FIGHT



That's how she starts the fight. And then she heals herself. And she does a good bit of damage. But after a little while



Yay

Then I talk to the old dude who LIED TO ME AND TOLD ME HE WAS JUST AN OLD DUDE



He likes to Tsunami me.

Anyways I am happy to see Leviathan as the king of summons. I feel he gets kind of left behind in most FF games



And I feel like that's a good chunk to do today

Part 19 - So Much Stuff Yet So Little

So I found a little Dwarf village and was soon going to continue the game but then they told me about a Sylph cave. So off to the Sylph cave where I now remember to use Float and then oh yeah I find Yang



Okay so ummm

Yep

Then I find this other little place in the corner of nowhere and nothing



I don't have that.

Also, your business is in a terrible location if you expect regular customers

So after that and some leveling I head to the cave finally



So I unseal it and then head in

And this junk happens



It's a really ugly door

So I go through the long evil door's dungeon and get the Dark Crystal. Not the movie though, I could have just ordered that online



But nothing is ever that easy so



BOSS FIGHT



We meet again, Demon Wall

So anyways, after that I suspiciously notice that I can't warp out of the dungeon



That's what I said



Oh boy here we go again



He says immediately before attacking me and stealing the crystal



That's what you say when your friend attacks you and steals your crystal



Still on about that moon thing, huh

So that's all for today! Another plan failure under our belt. We should seriously consider hiring a professional strategist at this rate

Part 20 - Hitting a Man Over The Head With A Frying Pan And Traveling To The Moon, My Life Is Complete

So I go back to let the Dwarf King know what a disappointment I am







It's not nice to call fat people Lunar Whales



Yeah I remember that

Cid isn't concerned

Doesn't matter, he puts us to work anyway. Eventually our Ninja friend slinks off to chat up the ladies and Cid is not pleased



There's some jumping around and such



Eventually old man Cid has had enough

So with our new drill we can bust open the top of the mountain thing again



So also I google'd cleverly figured out what to do about Yang, so I headed over to see his wife



So she gives me a frying pan and I head back to the underworld and thump him over the head

But the Sylph's fuss at him



So um

Still no fifth party member

Also, the tower is glowing and its pretty weird



Ahem so with that we head back to Mysidia



We head to the place to pray and the legend gets spoken to me again



Cecil is making zero effort here

Ta da! It's a big whale looking airship!

Now the airship Cid spent all that time on is never to be heard from again



yeah okay



I'm guessing the Lunar Whale



None of this is strange or anything

So anywho, off to the moon!



The moon is ugly!

But hey, 3 different world maps in one game is pretty darn impressive

Let's do things on the moon!

First I find Bahamut's Cave and these strange children



And then I find Bahamut



I mean it has to prove SOMETHING



So I would like to stress that I won this battle entirely due to my max HP cheat. He would have wiped the floor with me otherwise

Anyways then I find this place here
