FFX-2 or FF Tactics Advance.
Of the main series, probably FFIX. Even though it deals with the theme of death quite heavily, it masks it all under a veil of cuteness.
Probably X-2, though FFV for the main series.

FFVIII, FFV, FFX-2, FFXIII (just because its story was so badly handled, none of it matters to me in the least).
I think the FFIX I've played and the FFIX everyone else has played are two different games.
