Conceptually sound, but weak in execution. It's a cheap ass gambit system in practice. There should have been a more complex customization system outside of battle. Personally, it's just boring. Neat idea, but very boring.

I liked it, but I preferred the customisation of the Gambit System in FFXII.
The paradigm system is one of the most over simplified, brainless, and boring piles of trout ever conceived of and put in an RPG. Square and the genre itself will be better off if we all pretend it never happened.
I enjoyed it. It was more about keeping the tide of battle in my favor than micromanaging as is usually the case in a turn-based J-RPG. Different was refreshing for me. And I'm still impressed Hope fits that boomerang where he does after every single battle.
I really like it. It's one of my favorite systems!
It was okay. I used it a lot. Although it took a lot of getting used to when I was introduced to it.
I like the system. I find myself abusing it a lot just to get a kill faster.
My first 3 or 4 sets are usually filled with COMs and RAVs.
I got a set with both a SYN and SAB if I need it and one with two MEDs and a SEN.
Quite often (after Orphan) I can get away with a RAV, COM, RAV set in battle without switching.
For the most part I liked it, but when you combine vulnerable transition time with the party leader dropping equals game over, that led to a lot of cheap kills.
