Oh Edward, you have probably had a more profound effect on FF fans than any other character by launching one of the most memorable Wooselyisms that has persisted in the franchise better than any other game, and you turned an entire generation of gamers against Bards.
So what is everyone's thoughts about the most iconic Bard in FF history?

Just as you said, turned an entire generation against Bards. FF4's greatest contribution to the RPG genre.

I think he's a nice guy

Now that I think on it more, he doesn't seem spoony at all
When I was a kid a friend of mine named Edward "Wuss" because of how poorly he performed in battle. Veteran players can usually deal with how he is, but this was my friend's first time through the game.
Then when Leviathan attacked the ship and Edward fell over, Cecil said, "Wuss!" We all had a good laugh.
He was kind of hard core in After Years.
It was great.
