New screenshots of Dragon Quest Heroes

Looks awesome but the lack of cell shading gives it this funky early Sega Saturn Nintendo 64 concept art type feel.

I'm not into these kinds of games but I'm hoping they announce some features that make it more palatable to Dragon Quest fans. Having a (hopefully coop) DQ spinoff on my PS4 would be all kinds of crazy.

I have not heard of this one. It looks very Dynasty Warriors'ish. Are they going the Hyrule Warriors route? Or is this something with some actual meat on it? I am genuinely interested in this now, whatever it is. DQ games don't usually intrigue me. So good job for them I guess

I've not played Dragon Quest before (for shame, fat_moogle) and I don't know whether I'll get this, either. Like Vyk said it's quite Dynasty Warriors-ish which I'm not that fond of either sooooo no point in buying a spinoff of a game I've not even played xD oh and this game is cross gen PS3 / 4 if anybody was wondering. I think the top screen shots definitely look more last gen than some of the ones below, but maybe that's me looking in to it too much.

It's made by the Dynasty Warrior devs. Square Enix have claimed it's not a full on game in that genre and the presence of massive bosses might be a bit if a differentiator but it certainly looks like it's heading in that direction.
