    Tetris Movie Announced

    link

    *insert 'blockbuster' joke here*

Apparently it's going to be a 'sci fi epic'. Three things that must happen:

    1. Blocks must fall from the sky, preferably squashing random innocent bystanders.

    2. At some point the protagonists must be frantically searching for a line block.

    3. This is the opening credits theme.

I think I heard about this awhile ago! What an odd game to make into a movie. xD

Also Tetris B Theme > Tetris A Theme

How does... i mean battleship worked because it had the whole naval fleet thing going for it but this is just blocks...

This won't work. Nothing good will come of it. Especially considering the overall body of work of the producer behind this.

So the same guy who worked on this worked on the movie Food Fight. What's Food Fight? Well, this review explains it all...

Unfortunately, this is all too real.

Can't make a legit SMB movie, but they'll make a Tetris movie.

    ...really?

    A Tetris film?

    That's ridiculous!

I hope they give it an even more ridiculous name like "Tetris: Rise of the Planet of the Blocks".

I hope it does well enough and gets established enough that they make a video game based off the movie.

This movie sounds like it will be awful. I will be there at the theater day 1 at midnight to see this.

    I hope it's in Russian
My favourite tetris related piece of comedy:

This used to be a joke for me whenever someone asked what video game I'd like to see become a movie. I had no idea that Hollywood thought I was serious. Hollywood, I was just joking. This trout makes no sense.

    Tetrisnado.

A tornado whirls Tetris blocks around and they fall on unassuming victims in a highly populated area.

    Only on Syfy. Imagine greater.

I mean, I can only see this movie being okay if it's made tongue-in-cheek. Like, if it accepts it's a crazy premise and makes fun of itself the entire time, it could be fun. I'm not even sure there'd be any other way to do it.
