Which leads to a Boss fight



Really I just attack a few times. Probably would have gone better if the Ranger didn't have atrocious accuracy and I didn't keep forgetting to use aim

Yay The four heroes reunited again







Bartz then gets to slug across the floor amusingly

So we leave and head for the bridge that Galuf was on



I do some fights and eventually



Which leads to another boss fight. After doing some damage









Eventually though



At this point I imagine Gilgamesh to be Psychotic



That's a barrier coming from ExDeath's castle



Eventually I get... thrown... somewhere

So eventually we walk over to a town that claims to be a one horse town despite being one of the livelier ones I've been too. We stay at the Inn and Galuf sneaks off

Update thyme!

So I was, you know, wandering around and stuff and I entered a forest and found this little fella



A moogle

Who ran away



What is a Moogle, asks Bartz



So as he runs away he falls down a hole. So I follow him and end up in some weird underground area before finally finding him



Its always rude to start a battle with a critical attack

So boss strategy: Use a Phoenix Down. Done!



He eventually trusts Lenna and then does a little dance thing for us



He agrees and runs off

I follow him through the desert and find an enemy who was stronger than most boss's I've faced so far, and eventually I find the moogular forest, where all the Moogles run away from us except one



He brings us in to his house where we steal all of his treasure

Then I enter another house and find



Where I bring it next door to another moogle house



Where the moogle falls for me and gives me its treasure

Then I head back to see our other moogle friend



Meanwhile



Yep



...Alright



Poor Wind Drake



And that's how we worked the Wind Drake to death



After some nosing around, Krile finds the others!



They sure did



Bye Moogles



She does so by flying him there, of course



They take Galuf to the throne room



He's just chillin

Meanwhile, Galuf's forces

Alrighty UPDATE TYME!

After exploring the castle and finding some weapons and things, we head up to see Krile

So now we have our next destination!



Which means I won't be able to come back to the castle



So off we-

No wait a minute



It has like 2500 HP. Just whack him a few times. He only got one hit in. It's really a very easy fight

So we head north until we come in to



Everything in town is locked except one house. We go in and find the back room locked so we try to leave



So we do some intros and stuff



No, one of the other Dawn Warriors who didn't fight Exdeath 20 years ago

Wolfy wants to know who we are

He knocks Galuf back



This guy is a bit hot headed. So Bartz tries to strike him but he dodges.



Then the wolf does some move where he is all over the place and keeps whacking Bartz. Bartz eventually concentrates and

Says Bartz, to which Galuf and Kelger react strongly



They made faces



Xezat, now there's a name



Who ever would have guessed



FLASHBACK TIME



Xezat says they need to seal him



So they start to do that



Eventually he gives in and we are treated to a nice light show



And ExDeath is sealed

So we get to explore the village after that. There's a guy in a well that wants one of the frog monsters you encounter. There's also a werewolf at the Inn who will heal you for free a few times and give you some potions

And also

Finished sooner than expected and have some free time today

So we head up the Drakengard mountain and get attacked by many many things. Eventually, we reach the top and find some of that dragon grass!

Yea, grass



If I had a quarter...







So then we get to fight the foul, leafy demon, which is on the more challenging side. My strategy was to use fire scrolls with Lenna every time (every turn) it would summon the minion grasses. Attack with Bartz and Galuf. And use bio with Faris. Bio did a good chunk of damage.



So we grab the grass and head back to the castle







I am a bit concerned that Plan B is jumping in the water, walking around the castle, and then activating a super obvious switch.

What happened to Krile, btw, you might be asking



There you go!

So let's go see the Wind Drake



But Wind Drake no wants to eat







Lenna is very......................................... courageous



So the wind drake eats some and feels better



And Lenna collapses



She drinks it and feels better



Evidentally she should not as she face plants seconds later

So we board our newly healed Wind Drake and head for Ghido's house



BUT



So many earthquakes in this game



And the island sinks



Thanks ExDeath you jerk



So we find another castle because why not



Ah, who could forget King Xezat

So we go in the castle and take stuff as per usual







And then I get to put books away and I find Float

So then we fly back over to ExDeath's castle and find a fleet of ships. We land on the biggest ship

Galuf says he feels the same and they have a good chuckle

Galuf also looks very... minimalist compared to his other three dawn warrior companions. They all have capes and stuff



So I head downstairs and rest up



WHAT?! These kinds of things never happen when resting!!!!



So Xezat and some monsters start wrestling and I do some fights and eventually I run in to our old friend



So fight time of course

After hitting Gilgamesh a few times, he calls a friend



!!!!

Eventually I defeat his friend and then hit him some more until he decides that this is a job for his sidekick

Unfortunately for him...



*awkward cough*



But now I'm stuck hanging here. Xezat sees this and tells us to hang on



But luckily we are rescued by our new friend Wind Drake

I usually pronounce X with a z sound, but for some reason my brain makes it a K in this name. Like Kezat. I dunno
