You're so right Pumpkin.
Last year when Pheesh and I were in Melbourne we stayed at this lovely hotel that had little apartments. Anyway, Pheesh had gone out one afternoon for a drum workshop, and I had an infected knee from a bug bite ('straya!) So I wasn't up for going out so I just sat on the balcony wrapped up in a blanket people watching and it was just so nice man. The hotel is right in the centre of Chinatown too so it was really vibrant and lively all afternoon.
You guys must have stayed in some nice hotels, then. My only experience with hotel beds is pain and impractical bedframes. Why would you put a board on the edge of the bed if the bed is too short to fit a person of six feet?
The bed is by far the centrepiece of the room.
Its a a lovely room though, we have a sofa that is so soft, and a nice flatscreen T.V to watch stuff on. We had the all-you can eat breakfast this morning: I've forgotten how much I loved hash browns. Sam hasn't had a English breakfast in such a long time.
and Fynn, this is a Premier Inn. It is high-end budget. Which for a poor person like me is like a four star hotel.
I hate hotel beds. I hate hotel rooms. I guess I never stayed in a really nice one, but for me the room is a just a means to an end. I spend as much time as possible away from the room when I go on trips.

I've only stayed in hotels that were 3-4 stars. I suppose the beds get crappier when you're dealing with 1-2 star hotels.

I freaking love hotels. Hotels, motels, whatever. They can be the seediest little place but I will enjoy myself.
