Thread: Cooking with beer

    Default Cooking with beer

I just made a loaf off bread that called for beer instead of water

    It was tasty

Give me more recipes that call for beer instead of more traditional ingredients

Chilli is a good one. I've used beer in a cheese dip before, and that really made it taste great.

Beer bread is the best! I don't cook with beer too often but I do with wine.

I marinate myself in beer before any serious cooking. Everything tastes so delicious then!

Make a steak and ale pie. It calls for Ale not lager (please god do not make that mistake) it's winning on all fronts, steak, ale, and pie. Done right it's not even that unhealthy.

Beer fish soup is a specialty of Guanxi, the province next door to mine. Tastes gooood.

Oh! If I do corned beef, potatoes and cabbage, I'll add Guinness extra stout to the water I boil the corned beef in. Then once it's close to being done, add the potatoes and cabbage and let it finish off/boil down to a thicker stock type of deal. .

I like to marinate chicken in tequila blanco, lime, cumin, cilantro, and a few other seasonings.
