Heavy which is used in FFXIV to make you run like 5 billion times slower.
Fail.
Why is Paralyze not on the list?
From the time I first played a Final Fantasy game, I have hated the Paralyze status effect, used by the Mini Mages in the Watery Pass of FFIV.
There's nothing worse than not being able to move, and knowing that you're getting hit, even though you can't feel it.
It tends to wear off after a little while, but man is it annoying!
- If you have magnetically attractive armor on, the Lodestone Cavern paralyzes you.
- Golbez uses it in the Dwarf Castle.
Stop is almost as bad, though you don't have to imagine that the character is experiencing anything, as it's logical to conclude that it also stops the character from thinking, as time has stopped in a bubble around them.
But paralysis (in addition to being hard to spell) is my pet peeve of status ailments.
Btw, shion, rep for Qipao in your sigpic.
I hate confuse. That's a death sentence in most cases.
Why does everything need to know this when you're trying to ignore them? "HEY! HEY! COME BACK AND KILL ME! HEYHEY! HEYHEYHEYHEYHEY! Well smurf you then. Guess whereever you're going is more important than killing me. Be a shame if YOUMOVESUPERSLOWLY!"
In any game I've ever played, 'miss'ing is my ultimate pet peeve, so blind should be an easy shoe-in for my pick. However, since the only game I ever GET blinded in, ignoring bad breath attacks where I use a remedy anyway, is FFVI, and all it does in that game is give me spiffy shades, I can't really complain about the status. As such, I'm going with petrify, because I'm usually not expecting it and it is rather annoying to have to deal with, especially in the first game where I never seem to carry enough softs. ._.
When your Mage gets confused and attacks your Knight that has Double Sword and Counter is like, the worst. It even happened to Delita at the end of FF Tactics!

It's a tie between Poision and Confuse. In battle confuse is much worse, but if I am in an area with a lot of enemies that use it I have to constantly keep clearing it after battle.
