Just want to echo DrAssenov - Ben's style grew on me more and more as he sent in artwork. He actually sent in something like six more pieces than anyone else. Of course it was never a contest, but damn, that guy was efficient and I enjoyed the more realistic look to the characters that he gave... and, as the good Doc mentioned, his 'raw' portrayal of certain atmospheres.

Trying hard not to say too many things about the artists at the moment if only because I'm one of those guys who always feels like he'll just have to say something for every piece I stumble across! It's madness over here right now - I'm actually editing pics, uploading them and editing posts on the fly, whilst keeping up with DA notes from artists who have queries about the live reveal/registering and also spreading the word of the project to as many as I can. Sorry if some posts are a little slow on occasion. xD

    PS. Poor Elmyra.

Ben: Barret...This is really sad. What an emotional and moving work.

    --Edit to say---

Yes, I agree with you guys. His style is spot on especially for that scene. The burning bear/lion slide is just one of those things that always stuck out to me aside from the dialogue. People who had nothing to do with Avalanche, young, old---they all died. Sure, their crimes were large, but goodness, an entire sector of people didn't have to die behind that cause.

Elmyra at the station, waiting. Awww. I'm really getting emotional now and the music for that scene is playing in my mind. Everybody, these are very expressive works of art. I hope everyone knows how awesome of jobs they did making these.

    Sickich:
Each character has its history, its sad and moments of joy . Yes, it is true that here Elmyra suffering much from seeing her husband but to meet Aerith . That would be the good that comes out of this situation.

Alright dagga19! Very nice pic of Elmyra and Aerith!

Sudden Reaction when both Amanda and Dragonite
see a romantic Final Fantasy love scene:
Amanda: Aww, this is so romantic! They would make a great couple together!
Dragonite: Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss... C'MON! KISS ALREADY!
Amanda: Drag, you have no patience whatsoever.

Just checking in here now. Fantastic stuff be everyone. One thing I have to say is I'm amazed by the amount of different styles here. It's astounding. It's been a joy to look at each piece and every one is unique in it's own way. I think BoB deserves a huge amount of praise as well as the other artists for bringing the idea together and going ahead with it. A real nice touch for the site on it's birthday.

As for the game itself - I have little memory of the game as I haven't played it in such a long time. I remember thinking like most teenagers that Sephy was badass.

    Translation:
Barret is probably one of those characters that return many stereotype under the rug like many 'new fans' it actually all do. But many forget how much heart, will, and hope in just this giant bear stuck, who apparently has a weakness for sailor suits. For me Barret was passively suggerierend not like Aerith, that hope is everything always actively hope sustaining the group, leaving them. No matter how much he was stunned by what happened, it is almost impossible to paralyze him. Where is note, Barret forget not, anyone who fell and anyone help need and so to speak, he commemorates the fallen by he continues to struggle for what they all believed. Even in the face of madness wins his heart and hope for better days, he's also ready to give everything.

Alright, guys. We're going to the source of all these problems. We're goin' up that wire and we're takin' Shinra down.

If this music doesn't remind of you one particular thing, you may not have played Final Fantasy VII or you may just not have a very good memory for such things. Don't worry, guys. LadyJuxtaposition is about to remind you.

You're right. Bob has been working his butt off putting this whole thing together! Let's make sure he doesn't overdo it on the energy drinks though! Great work haha!

On the other hand, it took me a couple plays to really grasp the idea and essence of FF7. I still remember seeing the actual commercial on TV and watching Cloud in CG burning rubber on the Midgar expressway, and thinking, "I must have that game!" Fun, fun memories!
