    Default Rebirth - Piano minigame

This is the hardest minigame I've ever played in a FF game and I think I will actually have to give up on it so fast. Who thought analog sticks on a rhythm game with 8 segments on each stick was a good idea? It's regularly registering my flicks as hitting multiple zones or different zones than I expect, and this is the primary thing killing my chances. I really need buttons for rhythm games like this.

The fact it doesn't even register a sound when you mistime it is also kinda annoying because it throws off my brain-sound rhythm entirely (what little I have).

I know, I know, I gotta git gud. But some guds are just too ungittable for this old chap.

I am not that far into this but at least at Tifa’s house in the flashback, it felt like I needed to be a real piano player to understand this.

It becomes a ranked minigame where you play the songs in the game on the piano system in a rhythm-based way, using the analog sticks. And it's very tricky. I could only manage a B rating on what I believe is the easiest track (going by what I've been told), and you need A's on all six tracks to get the trophy. Weirdly you get literally nothing for achieving a B rank, so it's weird it's even there.

I'm actually really enjoying the game now after the second piece, but kept missing certain notes on the third piece. I was suspicious about those notes so did a google, and apparently a lot of people have issues with it, and one person said to just turn the sound off. Tried it and got considerably better scores, and then went one further and played random music from my phone and got even better. Convinced now that those specific notes are not on time to the game mechanics in the game!

I managed to A rank Tifa's theme and On Our Way but gave up after trying and failing Barret's theme and the chocobo song many times. Still better than the troutty card game they keep trying to force on the player though.

I spent like 3 hours trying to get the 5th song (Cosmo Canyon piano) done and then just felt rage for a full day. Then I got to the 6th song and it was so easy. Nailed it in no time. Figured I'd give the 5th song another shot and... got it in 3 goes!

...got rewarded for my efforts with an even harder song oh god why
