Year 1, Spring Week 2
BIG week this week. Let's see what was going on.

My first "enchanting" is a few days where Julia's house will gain extra friendship points!
Spring 9
So anyways, my potatoes still haven't grown, so I go and get myself more turnip seeds while I wait for them

We also find that dastardly Elliot in Julia's house
I also manage to pick up a gift of the ground that much pleases Julia!
It's a flower of some sort. Yay us!
We also socialize

I also spot a bridge to lighthouse island

Spring 10
What's this? I head over to Shrine Island and find some peeps there
None of this has been terrible so far

Yup. Mike agreed to this without a second thought.
(The first few are surprisingly easy to find)

So with that done and over, we resume normal farm life while searching for sun stones

Let's start the morning on a positive note

We run in to Lanna

Now with this we can raise our first island!
So we are treated to a scene of the island raising very dramatically

Our new island:
That's... that's it. That's all there is to it
But now its finally time to get my chicken coop!
Spring 14
Mirabelle shows up and gives me some tips and a free chick!
I named her Billy because why not
I did pick the worst day ever to get my chicken coop though because its raining, I have no chicken food, and Mirabelle is closed on Saturdays
Oh well
So its boys give cookies to girls day, but I can't make cookies yet 
So instead I give out chocolates! Lanna was the happiest!

But he does give us another sunstone!
And our potatoes still aren't grown, but the turnips are, so I harvest them and plant some more
Let's look at our next event!
Welp, I won't be able to participate in that, but we may be able to watch

I didn't know there was one on PSP. Are you emulating that, as well? Or do you actually get the legit experience playing on the system for that one? :P Also congrats on your new island

Nah, I don't emulate any PSP games
Basically my rule is the newer the system the less I'll emulate it. So right now that means no PS3, 3DS, PSP or the even newer ones. I did try a PS2 emulator since I have my game discs to put in my computer but it was way too slow

I put PSP in the same generation as the DS and my computer runs them a lot better than DS games. But I get your point. Even if a flash cart were available for 3DS, I wouldn't buy into it. Nor do I have any interest in pirating Vita games. Its more about the abandonment of games and consoles that we still love. So I'm totally with you. In fact, I'm still buying the DS games that I put on my flash cart and end up falling in love with. Its pittance, but at least the developers will get something for an old game~

I guess I go by which games can I buy new to support the industry? I still see a lot of new PSP games at GameStop and none really for the DS so there you go. Obviously lots of 3DS games and stuff. That seems to be my cutoff

Year 1, Spring Week 3
Spring 15
First thing we do is buy a chicken because Mirabelle gave us a chick and the chick doesn't give us eggs
Now we have Jilly and Billy
We go socialize
His faces are amazing
Also, by going back and exploring some places, we get some sun stones!
I got one from Link Island and one from the Lighthouse place
Spring 16
We get our first egg

Potatoes STILL won't let me harvest them even though they look ready, so I plant more turnips
Learning that if I give the villagers enough of stuff they love, they'll give me sunstones, this happens when I give Julia another bag of chicken feed (seriously, this is one of her favourite things. I can buy it from her mom's store for like 10 bucks)
So time to go around giving gifts! I was giving her a gift everyday anyways because I'm trying to woo her

I can't participate yet due to my obvious lack of sheep, but I can watch

It's Mark's birthday but no one celebrates because of the sheep festival

Today we learned that people on the island are very enthusiastic about sheep

Okay! Today we finish up the Spring season and next time we will go in to the fall
Year 1, Spring week 4/5
There were only two days left to spring at the end of this week, so I went ahead and did them

I got a house upgrade
With that, I buy a fridge and some storage bins and I can eventually start cooking (when I actually put forth the effort to get recipes >.>)

The Horse Festival!

I plant some Turnips because oh gosh I forgot about the turnip festival
I find out Julia likes eggs more than chicken feed (crazy right?) which will give us +500 friendship a day (plus another 100 for talking to her) instead of +300.
For the record, we need about 70 000
Pierre pulls through for us

We get a barn!
Of course, Mirabelle shows up with a gift
Checking on our stuff we see that Julia is up to 2 hearts 
Which means she's between a few hundred and a few thousand points to our first heart event

I get Gooey a friend
And the lovely Miss Felicia has a present for us
She also likes eggs
Also, its our good builder friends birthday!
He's nice when he isn't terrorizing Hyrule, so I gave him some lumber, which he seems to like

My turnips had better friggin hurry up and grow

It's going to be so hard to get sunstones after I got all of the easy ones out of the way

Before I can head over to the festival, I have a visitor

SO MY TURNIPS DIDN'T FRIGGIN GROW IN AND NOW I FAILED AT THE FIRST FESTIVAL I ACTUALLY COULD HAVE PARTICIPATED IN GAAAAAAAHHHHHH
So some other people win and everyone is super disappointed in me
I'm going to grow the heck out of those tomatoes
But don't worry, I still have something special coming up

Oh, sure, NOW THE TURNIPS GROW IN 
On a brighter note, I go give Julia her egg and
TA-DA!!! She has a purple heart by her pic now which means
IT'S TIME FOR OUR FIRST HEART EVENT 
So I leave and come back

Year 1, Summer Week 1
Summer 1
First thing that happens:
Another new pet
Aaaand now I get a horse
I pick the white one and name it

So I am having problems with the horse. I can't do the horse festival practice because I have no microphone and my horse just kinda... doesn't listen. I can't even find it half the time 
Anyways, our nearest event:
A ha! Will definitely participate. I won't win the first year, but still worth a go
Here are some new crops for the season:
Growing the tomato right away this time
And we get to raise another island
It's actually two connecting islands
And on it we find a pond. Because I've played Harvest Moon games before, I throw an egg in there

Summer 2
Mirabelle has something for us
We need 8 to get the next island I want

Poor Sabrina is having a hard time this summer
On the brightside, Pink Cat flowers grow in the summer, which make a nice and free gift for her

The Harvest Goddess likes eggs

I go home and successfully cook my first dish

Summer 3
We get another recipe made from the blueberries I can find everywhere this season
I have never had blueberry juice. I wonder how it would taste
I also learn that giving them the same ingredients over and over will yield different dishes

She asks me if I did anything bad to her bear and then does this

I like how she doesn't have a name. It's just Witch Princess.
She is also a bachelorette but she has a hidden heart so you won't always know when her events are or how close you are
The characters are featured in several games
After she tells me to leave her bear alone, we meet someone else
She likes the stuffed frogs

So she offers to mess with the bear with me but tells me to leave the frogs alone

But those aren't all of our new neighbours. On the adjourning island, near the Harvest Goddess spring,

Her in game character looks kind of creepy but her portrait is adorable
You cannot marry Alisa in this game even though she has heart events
She was also in Harvest Moon: A Tale of Two Towns that I just finished playing, and you could marry her in that game, but she couldn't have your babies because....

Not much excitement since the island raising. Witchkins checks out her new surroundings

And we take a look at our relationships, and notice that Julia is up to 3 hearts and Lanna is becoming quite fond of us as well
So that's all for this week. Most of the day is spent:
-Watering crops
-Letting the dog out
-Trying to find my horse
-Brushing/feeding/talking to the cows
-Letting the chickens out
-Grabbing the eggs
-Talking to everyone
-Putting the dog back in
-Putting the chickens back in
And next week we have a few things:
-Gonna keep trying to get the sunstones
-CHICKEN FESTIVAL
-Going to upgrade my barn and get a sheep

So miraculously on the night before the typhoon, I manage to wrangle my horse in to the barn

That's literally it. So I spend the day inside practicing my cooking
Because of the typhoon
-My pets didn't get fed
-Some debris destroyed some of my crops
-I couldn't go buy what I needed
-I couldn't practice for the dog competetion
-I had to spend all the next night picking up my destroyed yard
-More sheep delay
So much fun
