Well sharky broke the tie for me and he went with

*drumroll*

Julia! Excellent, so let's get started shall we!

A note first:
Harvest Moon has a lot of days just spent doing the same thing over and over again. So that this doesn't become boring, I'll only post the new or interesting stuff that happens. Because of that, I might not update all that often. This will be more of a background noise LP than anything. But regardless, I hope you have fun and enjoy!

Hmm... so I heard this was the improved version of Island of Happiness, but it seems they took out the shipwreck part

I named our character Mike because why not. Also his birthday is Spring 19.

Taro arrives

This game is already throwing some curveballs at us

Give me a bigger house

But of course, he won't let me immediately do that. Instead I need to learn about "farming" or whatever

Now I get to name my ranch

This is how I'll make my living

I'll skip the long explanation for you

Pro tip: Do not till in a 3x3 because until you get enough money to upgrade your watering can (yep) you won't be able to water the middle square

Already a pro farmer

Pfft talk about unrealistic

So he gives me some free turnips

And he wasted a whole day with that

Time does go by ridiculously quickly in this game. I'm used to the newer Harvest Moons where they seem to have fixed some kinks (like the middle square watering)

Anyways, let's see what our nearest event is:

I think we know who will be getting my chocolate ohohohoho

So anyways, Day 2

After watering my turnips, I go around meeting some villagers

Cute kid

Elliot is our love rival! He has a chance of marrying Julia. We cannot allow this! But for anyone who wants to play a lady:

The grandson of Taro, this bachelor tries his best to help his family with the daily shipments off of the Sunshine Archipelago. He has a lot of pressure from his sister and grandfather to perform exceptionally, but he does tend to mess up from time to time.
Elliot has somewhat of a self-esteem issue, and may seem unsure of himself on occasion. He does have a good heart, as well as being gentle and kind.

Next we meet

Who is a guest judge in a Tale of Two Towns, which I recently played

This food gourmet has an ever quenching goal of locating tasty ingredients for his cooking recipes. He may look child-like but he is a master in the kitchen. Pierre's dream is to try every type of food in the world.
Pierre's attitude is always cheery, especially if there's some sort of new food around that he hasn't tried before.

His possible match is a woman named Natalie, who we will meet shortly.

In fact, here she is:

Natalie is the granddaughter of Taro and daughter of Felicia. She is the younger sister of Elliot but you wouldn't expect it. With the way she teases her older brother, you would expect that she is the typical older sibling making fun of the younger one.

She can be a little bossy and a bit of a perfectionist, but she is that way because she wants to be her best when helping her family with the shipping chores.

Then we meet this adorable little girl:

How? How did this happen?

Finally we track down our future bride

Julia helps her mother, Mirabelle, at her shop on Verdure Island. She likes to eat a variety of cooked dishes, but unfortunately her own cooking skills are not ideal. Julia has a fondness for animals except for fish, which she absolutely hates. Sometimes it seems she would rather take care of animals than other people.
She has a cheerful personality, but most people are interested in her daisy-duke shorts, open shirt, and tall boots.

I didn't write those descriptions for the record

Then we meet a really pretty lady:

I like her

She is the mother of Natalie and Elliot and Taro's daughter.

Next up:

Yep, that guy exists

An animal trader by vocation, Vaughn spends most of his time traveling to other locations. He is only on Verdure Island on Mondays and Tuesdays, where you'll find him at Mirabelle's animal shop. Vaughn does not have any family and prefers to keep to himself.
If you talk to Vaughn he will appear cold and snobbish. As you warm up to him by giving gifts, the cowboy will become more talkative.

He does clean up nicely in that suit

Later we see Julia down by the beach

Aww

And meet some more people

That scary man is the father of Sabrina, who was our almost bachelorette

The beautiful daughter of millionare Regis, Sabrina lives in her lavish mansion and helps her father with his mining business. She is very quiet and doesn't like to attract a lot of attension. Sabrina loves to read books, as their is a large library in the mansion.

Sabrina looks about 12, but I assure you she is a grown woman who can marry and have children. Her potential mate is none other than cowboy up there

He's Denny, a fisherman

A fisherman by trade, Denny spends his morning out on the ocean. He is back at his hut on the beach of Sprout Island by 8:00 am. He is proud of his skills, as the giant fish print on the back wall of his house indicates how well of an angler he is. Denny's little bird is named Popper, and it always sits on Denny's shoulder.
Denny likes a challenge and has a very cheerful attitude.

In case you missed it, he's a fisherman

And then we meet another potential bachelorette

A former music idol, she moved to the island to take a break from her hechtic career. Lanna enjoys fishing and has a collection of fishing poles in her house on Sprout Island. She has a small ego because of her popularity.

This is a good pairing because she likes fish so much, she can marry Mr. Fisherman.

Denny that is

Denny is a fisherman

So we meet people, and also some pictureless plebs that mean nothing to us and head to bed

The next morning

He gives me some tools, such as things to make lumber and clean up my horribly dirty ranch (the town is awful as well quite frankly) and then I get to tend to my crops and start cleaning the ranch up

That'll be all for now, but I'll leave you with this:

Not even married yet and she's already mothering me

Tune in next time
