Chicken, brown rice, veg. No carbs, no fizzy drinks, no beer (spirits are ok, but avoid mixing them too much so find something you like the taste of or can mix with tonic water). Meal sizes are important, 3 meals a day, can have say 30g of cereal or 2 slices of toast in morning (jam/preserve is ok but avoid choc spread etc). Lunch and Dinner should be relatively small; just about the size of both your fists will do (I do mine slightly smaller). Exercise some more, walk where possible, take stairs, some weights if you can.

The fat falls off leaving you lean.

    Alternatively try a Paleo diet.

I've probably eaten bread, pasta, rice or other cereal a dozen times since 2009, and most of those instances it was only to be polite around the holidays.

I for sure haven't had a soda in over six years.

The one thing I recommend to people looking to not only lose weight, but improve cardiovascular health, is to cut wheat from your diet.

    drink more water
do pushups and situps everyday for four weeks
raise the number as you can
don't come home saying 'im tired' and then not do it it is literally like 8 minutes at most, and tbh maybe less than 3 minutes
that's as long as it takes to heat up a sausage or boil eggs btw

I managed to drop 14 pounds by just adding salad, peas, corn, and green beans to my diet (I alternate between the last three), replacing potato chips with carrots as a side dish, going from white to wheat bread, and swapping all pop intake out with water. To my surprise I've actually developed a taste for water and salad, just as soon as I took the eggs out of it. The eggs were disgusting.

Do not eat necessarily less, eat the right stuff and move.

    1. Eat right, move

Bubba and I gave the 'lost a stone in a week' diet a go. As it happened, we only did 2 days as we had other stuff going on. But actually, even in 2 days I lost almost half a stone! It's all about the chemical reaction for the ingredients- so you can't replace anything- but you will lose weight. It stays off providing you don't stuff your face with rubbish afterwards.

MyFitnessPal to keep track of what you're eating. Be honest and be accountable.

Couch 2 5k, 3 days a week. (or 2 days and then a 3rd day at home running up and down stairs for 40-60mins)

Some kettlebells and stuff at home.

Is how I've lost 32lbs since the start of September. :3

Its main ingredient is highly super concentrated sugar, yes

This explains how I got here! Now I'm going back ;D Time to kick ass at guitar and live for a long time

I got down to a very ideal weight when I was on the road in 2001-02 (since I was jumping up and down for 4 hours a night 4 nights a week, and not eating a terrible whole lot). Since then I've been up and down. Heh...I feel like this guy.

You shouldn't want to spend time with or have a "boss" who offers you large amounts of money to lose 70 lbs in 30 days.

What's the end goal, anyway? You say he's a bandleader. Is it about looking good on stage?

I'm always annoyed when I see Biggest Loser on tv and someone's crying because the 9 pounds they lost this week "wasn't good enough".

The real problem is that he lacks communication skills...he's one of those people who just talks and talks and talks unless you interrupt him. I'm in an awful spot, because this is my only source of income, I can't just tell the guy "will you take a breath once in a while?"

Still nowhere near the worst situation I've put up with to play music for money.
