I kind of figured Loony BoB was trying to misdirect us since his riddle is supposed to be obscure.

Nothing correct so far (although chionos, like Sephex, is sort of on the right track...).

There is little misdirection, but the intent to keep things vague enough to be tricky was there. But all things are pretty relevant. Keep it up guys! There are only so many things in the game

Yeah, I think the level 4 clue is key. It might refer to the enemy Mu who you fight and it uses that against you. The only place I've seen him crop up is around the chocobo farm (quiet Sephex) which doesn't really fit with any of the other clues.

Although saying that, I'm pretty sure you fight him in the battle arena in one of the rounds. It might actually be the battle arena as you have to cross to get to the main platform in which you battle. It's definitely an island devoid of both window and door.

My guess is the Battle Arena at the Golden Saucer.

When you're hopping down the little island-steps at the bottom of the crater with the Iron Giants and such, does the fourth step have some specific monster on it or something? Anyone remember?

That makes it bad wordplay, because EVERY island is devoid of windows and doors. I mean other than man-made house-boat-islands.

An object without windows or doors sounds like some kind of box to me. Maybe something to do with Pandora's Box?
