everything is wrapped in gray

can you hear me in the void?
-The moral of the story-
The SNES-era numbered FF's were so goddamn good that we can't even agree on which of them is better than another.
Everyone working at SE now must be fired, and everyone who was working at Squaresoft when these three games were made must be re-hired.
I've considered it was VI for years but when it comes down to it I think I enjoy playing IV more.
...
the epic race continues as its a tie between Cecil and Butz
It's probably better for my sanity if VI doesn't win, tbh
I think someday I'm going to start having nightmares that Siegfried in Figaro Cave's worm tunnels is a boss battle that is unwinnable or something
For you see, rather than being a skillful or educational experience, FFVI chose to be a sensory experience over the gameplay aspect. It's basically FFV with a closed Job System, and instead of buying Magic, you find it and learn it. That's it. That (and Blitzing) is largely the difference between the two, gameplay-wise.
Everything else is window dressing and melodrama. Otherwise, FFVI may as well run on FFV's engine. Hell, it might.
So here's to IV and V, for getting the love they deserve. And smurf Kefka, like seriously smurf that guy.
Wow VI is actually one behind.
I'm tempted to vote for it just to bring it back up to a three way tie.
