What do you think of helicopters? Or Helos as they're known by people who play COD or SALMON or TROUT or whatever that game is.

I think that Baloki should fly them to me and then we can frolic together in a meadow.

I like helicopters. Here's some of my mah favs.

    Sikorsky CH-54 Tarhe "Air Crane"

Kamov Ka-50 "Black Shark" and it's other variants.

Boeing-Sikorsky RAH-66 "Comanche" Well, I like the concept anyway.

    Boeing CH-47 "Chinook" Because tough.

MBB/Kawasaki BK 117 A good work horse. Air med-evac, fire fighting, etc.

Mil Mi-24 "Hind" It's been around forever. Also Metal Gear.

Sharky's list is pretty good. Except for the Chinook. Ugh. Worthless aircraft. And dangerous to boot. They are just the big brother to the Marines CH-46, which is being replaced by another worthless aircraft, the MV-22 Osprey. They look pretty neat though, I suppose.

I actually really wish the CH-54 Tarhe program hadn't been cancelled by the US Army. It is lonely being the only Heavy Lift Helicopter in the US military. While the 54 couldn't carry as big of a load as the 53, it could carry it right up to the belly, which made it much safer. Keeps the cargo from swinging around.

The Sikorsky UH-60 'Black Hawk' will always be my favorite helicopter. All of its versions. It is an extremely versatile aircraft and I hate that all the other armed forces get them and we don't. Even the Coast Guard has them!
I've gotten the privilege to work on them a little bit while deployed on a ship. The squids let me touch their precious Sea Hawk (SH-60) and help change a fuel line. It wasn't much, but I loved it.

Well, huh. I always thought they were decent, and rugged. Just dated. Kinda like the BUF.

You would know better than anybody around here.

They are extremely nice to fly in though. Super smooth ride. Unlike the incredibly bumpy and bouncy ride you get in a Super Stallion. I say they are dangerous because if they crash, everyone inside is probably going to die because the blades are going to go right through cabin and smurf trout up.
I should probably retract that worthless statement. They are pretty good as far as troop movement goes, in all actuality. But still not great when it comes to cargo lift. Like I said, they should have stuck with the Tarhe for that.

I have heard of some horror stories about cargo slamming around inside them, and really making problems.

My dad let my little brother play war games (Call of Duty, etc) since he was a toddler. As a result, every time a helicopter would pass by the house he'd start crying and run inside.
