Who are the candidates?
Who are the candidates?
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Can this be greatest athlete rather than greatest sportsperson?
Because if so, Secretariat.
Walter Payton or Michael Jordan, case closed.
Are we talking pure athletic talent, or overall tactical prowess?
Joe Montana, Roger Staubach, Payton Manning, Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods... these should be added to the existing list of candidates. And then we should collect 64 and run a tournament bracket.
Bo Jackson.
How has that name not been brought up?
NFL smurfing superstar
Baseball badass
HE PLAYED IN BOTH THE BASEBALL WORLD SERIES AND THE SUPERBOWL!
And he Qualified for the U.S. Olympics team for track and field, but unfortunately decided to pursue sports. But he does still hold the fasted time for the 40 yard at the NFL combine, I think. 4.12 seconds.

Wilt Chamberlain, Babe Ruth, and Jerry Rice were the best ever men at their sports. I don't know enough about other sports to say.
Best athlete ever was probably Secretariat though. Best human athlete, maybe Bo Jackson, though his career got cut way short.
Proud to be the Unofficial Secret Illegal Enforcer of Eyes on Final Fantasy!
When I grow up, I want to go toBovineTrump University! - Ralph Wiggum
Statistically Don Bradman is the greatest sportsman of all time.
Michael Jordan.
He even played with Bugs Bunny.
It's entirely relative as many factors have to be taken into consideration, but I greatly admire Roger Federer. To be able to win what he won and play with the attacking style of tennis that he plays is remarkable.
Str8 Pimpin'
No mention of Wayne Gretsky yet? For shame, for shame.
Okay I'm not sure I could definitively say he's the single best sportsman ever, but he is definitely up there.
