Possibly showing my age a bit here (as it occurred to me while making this thread that some of you weren't even a twinkle in your mothers eyes when this was on TV). Anyone remember this gem of a TV show from the 90s? I think there were also US and Australian versions.

This was proper Saturday night TV, it was an event that my parents and grandparents would get together for and we'd have dinner watching. Like a fine wine it got better with age, with the later seasons being the best.

Plus that music, so 90s.

The Sky One revival a few years back was pretty rubbish though.

Who was your favorite gladiator? I liked Cobra and Wolf. Wolf was just terrifying.

I used to love watching this as a kid. I never knew who any of the Gladiators were I just liked watching the actual events unfold.

I know I've seen some of American Gladiators, but I don't remember it too well. I did have the SNES American Gladiators game that I liked to play as a kid from time to time too!

Loved it. Had all the figures for them and all the toys of events like the Wall and Duel. I used to make my own pugil sticks out of cotton buds Favourite was Warrior. You're not meant to like Wolf! Boo! Booooo!

My fav was when they were shooting tennis balls at each other, and when they tried to knock each other off of stuff. And Turbo was a true american gladiator.

I think I liked Vulcan because he was always angry. Mike Whitney was amusing.

I used to watch this, I didn't enjoy it as much as Robot Wars but it was still pretty damn entertaining.

I certainly did. It was pre-boob job Pamela though when she had dark hair. Not really into fake boobs. Yasmine Bleeth was my favourite on Baywatch. Then if both Lightning and Scorpio were on Gladiators then it was game over well before The Eliminator. No need for Blind date
