I thought SMRPG was just all right, myself. Best part was Mario, Peach, and Bowser teaming up in what had to be the most WTF thing I'd ever seen as a kid.
The M&L series, at least Superstar Saga and Bowser's Inside Story, blow this game away IMO

M&L gets automatic points for actually including Luigi. Something SMRPG wouldn't do, and then Paper Mario had the balls to include Luigi but not let you add him to your party. That's some bulltrout! *flips table*
