Catan's not all that nerdy any more, anyway. It's gone mainstream. If they'd played Lords of Waterdeep, or Legendary Encounters, or Europa Universalis the boardgame or something along those lines I'd give 'em a little credit. Maybe.

don't get me wrong, I hate the damn Packers. But, they aren't trout talking cheating loud mouths like a few others teams I don't like. I do at least have respect for the Packers and their organization.

True enough. It's actually not so much the team as Mike McCarthy that I dislike. And perhaps this is only because I loved the other Mike, Mr. Holmgren.

I hope it is several times more grognardy than the already incredibly grognardy EU video games.

Anyways, if we're talking about nerdy wargames then nothing can top Advanced Squad Leader.

It is. The rulebook for EU is the War & Peace of the boardgame universe. 72 pages of superior grognardia.

I can't get my nerdgame friends to play Advanced Squad Leader, so yeah, that's upper tier elite nerdgame territory.
