The only Spyro I ever played was the small demo in Crash Bandicoot 3. I probably would have loved the series back then.

Glad to see so many Spyro fans
Princess Debut is a story of a regular girl who looks exactly like the princess of some different world of sorts and as such is asked by that princess to take her place in the other world for a while because there's a ball coming up and the Princess totally can't dance. Of course our heroine agrees to this like any sane person would.
The game is kind of a point and click almost visual novel dating sim with some dance parts during which you slide your stylus as instructed. A large part of the game is finding the perfect prince to dance with, which leads to multiple available endings. You also gain magical accessories which give you different dance outfits and you unlock new dances and songs as you go.
Yes, this game could possibly take the crown for girliest game on my list, but whatever it is super fun. It's very campy, very safe for kids, although there is a disturbing scene where two women practically force themselves on one of the princes, although the game doesn't go in to much detail about it (it is a kids game) and instead just shows that they aren't very good people. But overall it's silly, it's fun, it's got cute art. I loved collecting accessories and seeing what the new outfits would look like. Some of the dances were harder, but still a pretty easy and short game. Good for something more lighthearted.
Wasn't expecting much of a reaction for that one xD
I'm getting all sicky and might be napping later so I'll post the next two up sooner than usual
It's an RPG maker! You make the story whatever you want it to be! Sharky and I made one about going on an epic quest to bake a cake, which required traveling across the world for ingredients. It may or may not have been a commentary on Suikoden's “soap” mission.
This game is fairly easy to understand once you get more familiar with everything. That isn't to say there's not a lot to keep track of, but the game does a fairly good job of making things clear and easy to understand.
I tried the first RPG Maker, but I couldn't figure it out. Luckily this one was much more straightforward. I had a lot of fun and I loved having that kind of freedom to make my own game. It's not perfect by any means, the character selection for example is limited, as is the number of characters you can make, but for what it is, it was a lot of fun. I definitely intend to play again!
I've never played the console versions of the series, other than the second one on the SNES, but I'm a huge fan of the PC entries so I definitely get what you mean about the freedom to make your own stuff and how awesome it is.
Too bad I never finish any projects I start. ._.
I tried one of the computer ones but I'm just don't have the mind for them. 3 was good about walking me through things step by step with a lot of help, but the PC one I tried just kind of threw me everything and was like "There you go!"
Just not one of my strengths I suppose, but I've heard the PC ones have even more freedom so that's awesome for people who do get to enjoy them
Oh that Suikoden soap quest.
Last one for today before I settle down with bad TV and pie
Also yay, I get to do my very first characters section!!
It's a fighting game and I've never cared about the stories in these. I think it's about an evil sword. There's a good sword too, I think. I don't know. I just beat stuff up.
Soul Calibur is a fighting game, so you get in to fights and beat other people up. Characters also have different types of weapons. For this game, pressing triangle will execute a vertical strike, square a horizontal, O will do a kick, and X will guard. Pressing the buttons in different orders at different times will result in combos (which you can see and learn in each characters command menu). Aside from the usual fighting game modes like arcade, time attack, etc, there's also a “mission” type mode where you move along tiles on a map and fulfill certain conditions in each corresponding area.
This was my first Soul Calibur games, and I had a lot of fun playing it! I liked the aspect of using weapons, which is something I wasn't familiar with after being a Tekken fan (except for that cheating Yoshimitsu!) so that was pretty unique to me. I also liked the creative levels, like bouncing people off of things or fighting in heavy winds. It had a great character selection and some beautiful levels as well.
Favourite character: Talim gAHOnYC.jpg
Honourable mentions: Xianghua, Seung Mina, Sophitia XAUeMKl.jpgUzKIS94.jpgdSC5UaF.jpg
Talim is my favourite fighting game character to use ever. She's quick and he moves combine really well. I essentially suck at fighting games (and all games) but she's really easy to use and I can use her well. More importantly, she's fun to use. Xianghua is my second favourite to use and I got pretty good at her. I like Seung Mina and Sophitia a good bit as well, although not quite as much.
Tomorrow we get 3 more entries, including the first RPG and Final Fantasy on this list!
Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords eternally retold.
I've always loved Soul Calibur II. I'd play it pretty often with some of my high school friends. I did enjoy the character creation in later entries, especially with regards to just doing quick randomly generated characters. I'd often get some hilarious results. That said, Soul Calibur II has always been my favorite to actually play.
Talim is also probably my favorite character to use.
I'm more of an Astaroth person myself, but I think 2 is my favorite in the series so far as well. I had a ton of fun in that adventure mode.![]()
I have a lot of good memories with RPG Maker 3. I liked working on the cut-scenes a lot.
I haven't played Soul Calibur 2 yet, but I love the series. Started out with Soul Blade and jumped to SCIII. I do have SC2 on the PS2 now, so I'll get to it eventually.
2 is also my favorite in the series. I like Seung Mina and Lizard Man.
I like a lot of the characters, but those two were my favorite.
Posting for Talim love. Fast & comborific makes for fun-fun.
SCII is an excellent fighting game. Yoshimitsu and Voldo were my favs.
These games are coming thick and fast!
I adored Pokemon Stadium when it came out. I too spent most of my time on the mini games. I actually used to play my gameboy pokemon games on the N64. What of it?
