78. The Sims 3 (PlayStation 3)

The Sims 3 story is whatever you want it to be! It's a life simulator, so you make some characters and give them a purpose and then see what happens.

In the Sims, you make a character (or several) and then you can either build them a house yourself or move them in to an existing one. You can make friends, get married, raise kids, get a job. You also need to make sure their basic needs are taken care of. This entry is better about not having to micromanage them, but you still have to make sure they have what they need.

I've never played a PC Sims game, although I hope to one day, because it will probably take out some of the limits from the console version. But even with those limits, this game is still great fun. I liked making all different types of families or households and seeing where they went. My favourite was a family that wanted to raise four kids, so they had four boys and a girl and raised them from little babies in to adults. It was so much fun to see them grow up and see where life took them. I also had a party house of six teenagers with purposely annoying personalities, and it was really funny to watch. The game is a great time sink, and the house building is awesome. There's a fire limit on the houses, which could get annoying, but I liked coming up with all different types of homes and stuff.
