X-2 is indeed but on the other hand IX played it very safe and in a sense it feels as if Square was just trying to cater to the nostalgia of fans of the series. Personally I don't think it worked and instead they ended up with a game that lacked it's own unique identity and voice, which made it all rather forgettable in turn.Originally Posted by Vivi22
