Magitek armor, a goofy, egotistical octopus, and opera. Also a psychotic, nihilistic clown.
Damn that Ultros. Trying to end Celes' singing career before it can even get off the ground.
i have not seen or played vi but i have seen x so i have chosen...

I sure hope X-2 wins.
Like comparing a cave wall painting to the Mona Lisa.
Game play wise i prefer X. but, I HATE HATE HATE the characters in X and there were a few in VI I could dig. I also HATED X's story. Everything that had to do with writing in X just made me want to throw my PS2 out the window and was probably a HUGE factor in me shifting back to PC play. Everything Square made around that time is horrible imo so I went back to Diablo 2 and Counter Strike. From FFVII to X was the golden age of consoles in my life.
I feel the same about FFVI as I do FFIX. They're my go-to recommendations for people trying FF out for the first time because they're both great games that perfectly capture all the things that come to mind when I think of what a Final Fantasy game is, but I don't find myself playing them over and over again like my own favorites. Besides FFXIV which is an MMO, I've put more hours into FFX than any other single player Final Fantasy
One of those rare occasions I find myself voting for FFVI. xD I don't adore the game, I think it's highly overrated. But it doesn't have Tidus, Yuna and Seymour in the starring roles and for me, those three managed to destroy almost all the fun I got out of FFX. Can't stand any of them. I think the rest of FFX is alright - good battle system, good minigames (well, some good minigames... chocobo balloon crap was awful and horrid) and I really like Lulu, Rikku and Kimahri (Wakka wasn't bad either).
FFVI also had some great characters and while I really don't like Terra "Moany Depressed Emo" Branford, I found she wasn't as dominant as Tidus/Yuna/Seymour and therefore I could happily keep her out of my game for the most part. FFVI was the kind of game I could fall asleep to because it's often boring. FFX is more like an annoying and very noisy neighbour that won't let you sleep because it has a spokestrio with the three most irritating voices ever.
I hope I've ruffled the appropriate number of feathers on both sides with this post.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
I'm actually kind of impressed by the consistent five vote gap we have going on here.
