Anybody like Junji Ito?

I have to say with each day I'm becoming more and more of a fan of Junji Ito. If you don't know who he is, he's a writer of horror mangas, which is one of the few things I've read that made me really uncomfortable. Seriously, give him a look if you haven't already.

I never read anything of his after Hellstar Remina or whatever it was called because it genuinely bothered me. I never finished reading that bizarre story about the people who are driven to go inside those body shaped holes in the side of the mountain or some such lunacy either.

If his goal was to write thoroughly unsettling comics, he's reached that goal.

Good lord that one about all the school kids who get kidnapped and sewn up or some such crap was creepy too.

I really like Uzumaki and but a lot of his one shots have no closure. They just end. Still great though.

Yea I found that alot of his works end really suddenly (Uzumaki, Gyo, Army of One, etc) but in a way that contributes to how creepy they are, often ending in an open-ended, bad ending or a flat out bad twist ending.

Out of all of them I would say Uzumaki is my favourite, but I do like the story of Hellstar Remina as well.

I like Remina but it didnt make sense that it would hit every planet if it was flying in a straight line on it's way to earth unless they all happened to be lined up

I think it just moved to hit them, considering it was moving at almost the speed of light. Can't remember if it actually says that though.
