Aight nerds, so here's what's up.

I downloaded the PS4 version of XIV for my bf so that we can sometimes dungeon together. He's gonna create a new PSN account & transfer his PC SE account/character over to the PS4.

Now then. I want to play sometimes on PS4 also. I know that I can transfer my own account over while still being able to play it on PS3 , but my question is...

Do I need to buy the PS4 version of XIV twice for 2 separate paid accounts?

No I'm pretty sure you can log in on any game just as long as you have money on your subscription

I'm pretty sure you do need two copies of the PS4 version. If Danielle logs into MogStation, she'll see this little "WINDOWS" icon next to her account somewhere in the sub details. I have both WINDOWS and PS4 there (it used to say WINDOWS and PS3 before I took advantage of a free upgrade promotion). Sadly, this is a thing. Thankfully you don't need to pay for two subs, just the initial activation.

Never tried two users alternating on the one PS4, though, as it ties your PS4 install to your login or something like that... I think. To be honest I don't use the PS4 much, I found it a bit awkward. I know others that like it, though.

Well now. New question is... Can I unlink my SE account from the PSN ID it's registered to and switch it over to a new one?

That way my bf can keep his ID and stats and stuff and I can just do my own thing
