I haven't heard a lot of the soundtrack in game yet, but most of what I have heard is awesome so far. Definitely has an old school FF vibe with the music.

Music works well in the game. I wouldn't choose to buy the soundtrack and listen to it outside of the game. There won't be any tunes I'll be trying to transcribe for piano, let me put it that way.
