Never even tried it. It was drummed into me from day 1 that it's a Very Bad Thing and whilst I can't deny some natural curiosity of the unknown, I've just never even been curious enough to do that "one quick swig of one and a splutter" that most non-smokers seem to have done. I think it just crosses that line for me between "it won't do much harm to try it once" and "you wouldn't stick your fingers in an electrical socket no matter how curious you are" in terms of whether I act on it or not.
I don't have any particularly strong feelings about others smoking, now that it's banned in enclosed places of business such as offices, pubs, etc. Basically you're no longer forced to passive smoke if you want to socialise or work or whatever, so for me it's a thing of the past. I used to hate coming home from a night out reeking of it.
