Alternatively, you could interpret the "I" as a short vowel, which would sound like the Polish "y" which would make "konamy"="we're dying".

This is really disappointing, the demo alone gave off good vibes on how the main game would have been like. Shame it had to die like this. One less reason for me to jump into the new console generation.
