I plan to play 4 in due time anyway as I wish to review each game in the series, so I'll be avoiding other reviews as to not color my own opinion whenever I get to them.

    Thanks, though.

I used to talk with this lady when she was doing her SH4 review and posting on a forum we both frequented. I'd recommend it to anyone but to you especially Tori since you don't know much about the game.
    Dena Natali is awesome.

I agree with some of the speaker's opinions on the games, especially FF7 and Super Mario. FF7 is amazing, no doubt, but the inconsistency of the graphics just gets to me.

Ignoring graphics, Mario 64 is still the best 3D Mario, Mario Kart 64 is the best Mario Kart, and I could go one but I have not the time. Though those games still look good frankly so smurf graphics.

Also, MGS is the best playing Metal Gear. Yeah, I went there.

You'll see no argument from me my friend. I still regard MSS1 as the most perfect Metal Gear game.

Yeah, I'm referring more to games that are going for a more 'realistic' look as opposed to Nintendo's 'cartoony' style approach. Pretty much all Mario games are gonna be timeless as they don't deviate from those style of visuals. Mario 64 is still my favourite 3D Mario too. Super Mario Kart will always be the best Mario Kart though. The introduction of the blue shell is the worst thing to happen to the series. As soon as they started punishing you for good driving it made that much less of a racer.

In full agreement that MGS was the best Metal Gear game too. I wouldn't class that as full 3D as the majority of it is still from that top down vantage point. Just started another play through of this on my Vita

If argue that the original Metal Gear (for the NES) trumps it.
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. If you like his content, please support his GoFundMe, or even just contribute to his Patreon.

He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.

Isn't the NES Metal Gear just a poor man's version of the MSX2 version?

Something about internal Nintendo games that just stand the test of time across the board. It's insane to look at Super Mario Bros. 3 and compare it to the rest of the system's pixelated library.

I have to agree with this. The actual Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 completely blow away the US NES iterations. Those games have aged well (the second one far more than the first).

Metal Gear 2 has some awesome music too. I do think the first one hasn't aged as well compared to the second, but I still think MGS1 is the perfect Metal Gear experience. I am a bit biased though since that game was my favorite game for many years of my life. I'd love to see a remake of the two games though as there are just some moments in Metal Gear 2 at least that I'd love to see in 3D.

One game series that hasn't aged particularly well to me is the Bonk series on Turbografx-16. I loved those games as a kid, and I still find them to be a lot of fun and good looking. There's just so many other games that I think do the platforming genre better. It has been a few years since I've played though, so maybe I'd think differently if I played them again.

A lot of the disney games I loved as a kid have held up beautifully though. Aladdin, Lion King, Mickey's Magical Quest, Quackshot. They all still look good to this day I think and are a lot of fun to play still.
