Which Dragon Quest/Warrior game from the main series floats your boat the most?
I never played X, but here's my top 5.
1. VIII
2. V
3. VII
4. IV
5. VI
Close between V and VIII for me. While the whole series requires grinding, V and VIII make the grinding more manageable and have a cool story to go along with the game. I don't want to spoil too much for either game, but in different ways for each game, there are unique ways to customize your party. Also, they have amazing soundtracks (but that could be said of all DQ games).
I've only played III, V, VIII, and IX and out of those I've only beaten V and IX. And V is my favorite. I loved every second of it. I liked watching the hero grow up and wish more games would do it.
DQI, III, V, and VII are my faves. DQIII is my favorite entry in the series, followed closely by DQV.
