We can share these details and this is a friendly tournament - don't worry aobut it
EVs are the base stats that you can increase for a Pokemon, basically. If you want to max out, you have enough EV points to max out two stats, so it's advise to put EVs into the Pokemon's most important stats. You can raise the EVs of a Pokemon easily through super training on your bottom screen!

alright ^^ it might be friendly but im still competitive xD i dont want to give away all my secrets (but in my excitement i probably will just like now) and i do want to show off my team ಠ_ಠ because they are pretty and cool
btw do you already have a 'battle system' for the game?
the one i used with my tournament was pretty easy :3
first you write in excell down every possible match (its not as hard as it sounds, really :P )
every win is 2 points, every lose is 1 point, match not played is 0 points.
you set a time limit (1 or 2 weeks) and you give away what matches have to be played. a couple of ppl might have to battle 2x in order to let everyone play atleast 1x.
and the contestants will have to PM eachother to set a time and date.
after the time limit is done new matches will be anounced.
you can always anounce them earlyer if every match has been played to speed things up
p.s so far the teams look very tough :P im excited to see where this will lead too
Thanks for the tip, shaiI was actually thinking about it and came up with something similar. It's still more than two weeks ago. Some people still haven't contacted me to get their eggs :/

And how does affection affect experience gain? Cause I don't wanna spend too much time in Amie, and yet I want an experience boost.
I don't remember the exact gain increase, but unless you max it, it's nowhere near as big as the gain from "Lucky Egg" and "Exp O-Power level 3". So I'd recommend finding a Lucky Egg and using the O-Power instead.
I thought they could all add up? Anyway, didn't have the power up until this point, so my exp power is still level 1
They do all add up, but if you train against the E4 rematches for example, I'd say the amie exp bonus might still not be worth the time. Then again, if you don't have the Exp O-Power at level 3 yet, it might be worth it however.
Also: Pellipers often carry Lucky Eggs, so that's an easy way to get several Lucky Eggs.
Edit: also, will held items (aside from mega stones) be allowed or not? My EV spreads are going to depends on that.

They do. So the more Lucky Eggs you got, the better.
Also, my team already got some power. I'll post it in a little while, once all the eggs have hatched.
I think the teams are pretty balanced so far, tbh.
meh, im concerned about the stats. its just not my thing to optimize them, i have never really used it in the game. but im going to make an atempt

You have nothing to worry about - even if you messed up along the way, you get access to reset training bags which allow you to start over EV training from scratch
Have you seen the animation when you receive one from Mister Bonding? Your dirty thoughts are hardly misplaced...
