Bacon goes better with eggs amd toast, sausage goes better with pancakes and waffles.

    Signature by rubah. I think.

I've been trying to cut back on both but I've always though bacon was over rated anyway.

This is a tough one for me.

Bacon is by far the tastiest but it's not always the best option. I like my food hot and the window in which bacon can be enjoyed hot is very, very small due to how thin it is. Sausage stays hot for longer but while it is still tasty, it doesn't go with the egg quite as well. Also, if you're putting full sausages onto a bun then they have the tendency to roll out onto your plate/floor which is highly inconvenient. To combat this, you can slice your sausages in half length-ways. However, then you have a similar problem in that their window of warmth is drastically reduced. The solution to this has already been mentioned by Shauna: Square sausage. When I can get it, there is much rejoicing.

Bacon wins if I'm cooking it myself and the bun is all ready to go. Straight from the grill, onto the bun, into my mouth. Any other situation then I'm afraid I would have to go with sausage.

I'm surprised there has been no mention of the Red versus Brown sauce debate.

anyone who puts tomato ketchup on bacon or sausage or anything other than fried potato is a devastating sub-human scumbag and should be taken out back and put to sleep

As much as I love pigs in blankets I can't get past the fact that they look like a load of tiny penises.

That quote is just begging to be taken out of context.

If I haven't had a chance to grab breakfast by the time I head in to work, with my start time the only place open for food in Wimbledon is Greggs bakery. I love nothing more than walking in to there, ordering a breakfast roll and cup of tea. The breakfast roll is always the same: Sausage, Bacon and Egg with brown sauce.

Why choose mother smurfer? Why choose? There's only one winning here and that's ALL OF THE ABOVE!
