Thunderstorms

I'm sitting here at near 3am while a beautiful thunderstorm is going on outside my house.

I love thunderstorms. The sounds soothe me.

I love thunderstorms! Unless I'm trying to sleep. A few night ago, I kept waking up to one of the loudest storms I've experienced yet. Blimey, that was almost deafening! My poor doggie sounded like she was hyperventilating. Then again, she does that for basic rain storms, too.

Almost everyone on my facebook was talking about this storm, I saw a photo of a roof that had been hit by lightning and had like, just a huge hole in it!

I don't mind thunder, but I can't sleep through it and it does make me jump. I think I'm mostly used to it though, we can get pretty tropical storms in Perth.

I love thunderstorms.

My dad and I used to sit either on our front porch or in the garage and watch the lightning and listen to the thunder. And my parents always let me go play in the rain if it was warm enough outside.

I've been in a few really bad storms though, including the 2010 Nashville Flood. The city was pretty well destroyed, and where my restaurant was located (I was working at Red Lobster), it was only 1/4 mile from the stretch of interstate that got really bad flooded. I was working when it was all going down lol.. I wasn't all -that- worried, but it was a little scary. I wasn't sure if I was gonna get home that night.

Hate thunderstorms. Thunder is loud and obnoxious. Lightning can go die. The rain's all right on its own, I suppose.
