"It's basically double battles.
You have two pokemons on
the field at once, rather than
one. And while you have a
party of six pokemons, you only
battle with four of them. So you
have to choose which four you
think will put in the most work
against your opponent, basically."
"VGC is played with the double
battles Flat Rules, as it allows
only four pokemons to enter the
battle. It shouldn't be too hard
to pull off, though everyone would
have to level their mons to 50 or
above. Still, it should work fine."
The VGC is Nintendo's "official" way of battling. Double Battles, 4 on 4.
Each player enters a battle with a team of 6. Before the battle starts, you get a team preview showing your opponent's 6 Pokémon.
You then select 4 Pokémon to actually send into battle, as does your opponent. But you don't know which 4 they actually choose of the 6 they have available.
So you try to choose your 4 Pokémon that either work the best together overall, or form the best counter to your opponent's team. It lets players cut out some dead weight, and customize the teams slightly for each battle.
They're fun, but mostly I just mentioned them to see the reaction I'd get.![]()
My friend Delzethin is currently running a GoFundMe account to pay for some extended medical troubles he's had. He's had chronic issues and lifetime troubles that have really crippled his career opportunities, and he's trying to get enough funding to get back to a stable medical situation. He can really use a hand with this, and any support you can offer is appreciated.
I personally prefer regular rules, but if that's what people want for the next tournament, then fine.

Everything should be alright now Shai
Although if this is really a bother for you, I may be forced to count this as a loss for Sky, since it was him that backed out of the battle.

I'm not sure. I couldn't record it, since I'm using X and you're using ORAS.
Let's see...
I lost Anubis to Chris Pratt.
Ra took out Chris Pratt.
Ra took out Elegant Fox.
Ra fainted to Elegant Fox's Future Sight (poor Ra, that was my bad).
Horus took out Magic Fairy.
Horus took out Little Spider.
Horus retreated when you brought out Godzilla.
Osiris took out Godzilla.
Osiris took out Beyoncé.
So, 4-0? Unless I brought out Ma'at (the Hitmontop) at some point, but I don't think I did.

I want to battle really bad, but I'm afraid I'll get called on to go do something.
