Pokemon Tournament Stage II: "To Be a Master!"

There really is no explanation for the Dark type (or "Evil" type, in Japan). It doesn't make a lot of sense, it was just put in to ruin game balance.

It's weak to Fighting because?
It's weak to Bug because?
Steel resists it because?
It's strong against Ghosts because?
It's negates Psychics because?
Oh, and Fairy beats it because it was absurdly broken and needed a counter. So, again, balance reasons.

Guys, I'm sorry I haven't been posting here much lately. In taking some much needed vacation and really did not have the time to do anything tournament-related. Since I'm so late and I know there's a handful of people who still haven't battled at all, do you think it'd be okay if I extended the deadline a bit more? I know we all want to rack up as many points as we can!

Guys, Since I'm so late and I know there's a handful of people who still haven't battled at all

i know you want to give everyone the oppertunity, and i have no problem with another week..
but (i believe) some ppl dont even show up on the forum to say what is happening, or why they havent battled yet.
in those cases that is their own fault and you shouldnt keep stretching this out for them if they seem to put no efford at all in it.

(if there is really nobody of that case then i havent said anything)

the lack of interest in this thread is disturbing..
i can think of 2 things:
- there is a new thread nobody has told me of and you all moved there
- ppl are (mentaly) done with battling and we need to move on to the next round

I haven't been able to battle because I've just moved back across the world and have been stressing out with money and job hunting, as well as family commitments as I have a sick grandpa. Bad timing for me, and I shouldn't have joined up to the event, really, all things considered.

We're moving on to the next round Monday evening. Night, you can still battle, if you have the time. Even if you don't battle during the preliminaries, you can still take part in the bracket. You'll just have fewer points, so less of a chance to join a higher-tier bracket.

It's actually meant to be about dirty fighting and tricks. Which is why fighting beats it - a trained fighter wins with it because of their formal training and they can see through the dark type's shady tactics. I guess that logic can be extended to the other types as well. I guess Fairy types are better because in fairy tails evil always loses.

Okay. We will, I promise. Give me until Monday and I'll add everything up, divide everyone into brackets and make a new thread maybe? In the meantime, anyone who wants to battle can still do that. There's always the possibility that someone will show up at the last minute.
