So it's Lightning's weapon versus Squall's weapon. I would argue that the Blaze Edge is probably the better weapon of the two but assuming it wasn't designed with such amazing stupidity as the gunblade a gun with a sword is more practical. Isn't that called a bayonet, anyhow?

Well if the arms in those pictures are relative to one another then the size of the bullets coming out of gun w/ a sword are like bombs, so it clearly wins.
