MissH was not impressed with this development.
I read an article recently that said Sony's next script had Captain Stacy coming back to life and that Peter was trying to find ways to bring Gwen back as well.

Not that it's better or even remotely matters.

Gwen died in the movie because she died in the comics. I was wondering if they were considering going into the Clone Saga where she's brought back some time after that, but we'll never know now. Might be what they were going for if there's any truth to the article.

Really?! I take it you didn't see the Iron Man sequels then? Or the crapfest that was Thor: Dark World.
Hey! Hey! Trout on the Iron Man sequels if you must, but Thor: Dark World was awesome.
It was one of the most underwhelming sequels I've ever seen.
Thor 2 was miles better than the original.

The only lackluster Marvel movie has been The Incredible Hulk as even the Iron Man sequels still have their charm.

Iron Man 3 was great (especially Ben Kingsley)! Iron Man 2, not so great.

@Ayen It sounds similar to that, with Peter taking the place of the Jackal.

It sounds pretty smurfin' terrible and I'm glad Sony lost the reins here.

They actually manage to make the Clone Saga sound worse.

    That's impressive.

    - The plot was pretty smurfing awful
    - Unimaginative action sequences and poor jokes
    - Loki, the best character in the films, is locked up for pretty much the entire film
    - Jane Foster is just a pointless character who doesn't do anything
    - Anthony Hopkins looked like he would rather be at an insurance seminar than be in this movie
    - If they'd kept Kenneth Branagh as director he may have been able to make the film a bit more interesting
    - Also, Stellan Skarsgard naked at Stonehenge...

I just think it's a film that seemed to be made for 3D-loving idiots and I won't be watching it again.

    - The plot was enjoyable
    - The action sequences were enjoyable and I laughed plenty
    - Loki is only locked up around the beginning and then works with Thor until he takes over
    - Ahh... Actually, Jane was kind of pointless.
    - lol
    - Didn't even know they changed directors
    - There was nudity? What? How could I forget this?

I didn't see it in 3D and still thought it was good, but it's obvious we're just not going to agree

To be fair, that's pretty much how Anthony Hopkins has looked in every film he's been in for the last twenty years, he's been phoning it in since Nixon.

You forgot to add to your list 'terrible grasp of London geography' (Charing Cross to Greenwich on the Underground? Ha!)
