8 goals in 42 games for Yaya this season, while Gundogan has 3 in 40. I know the latter is far more defensive than Yaya (although Yaya, with the right motivation, is still probably excellent defensively), but I'm not sold on Yaya being a player that has suddenly become bad, even if he might have had a below par season by his standards. Now, value for wage money, that's a whole different beast!

I get the feeling Yaya just needs more personal motivation than he has been getting recently, and I question whether he'd be useful under Pep after their Barcelona relationship.

EDIT: Fun fact regarding leagues with European Cup / Champions League winning managers...

La Liga (Spain)
Zidane
Enrique

Championship (England)
Di Matteo
Benitez

Premier League (England)
Guardiola
Mourinho

A Group (Bulgaria)
Petrović

None for Italy, France, Germany or any other nation... although 70 year old Artur Jorge, who won the 1987 cup with Porto, might still be active at Algerian side MC Alger (not 100% sure if he has retired again), but he's not the manager as far as I can tell.

Hiddink, Van Gaal, Rijkaard and Ancelotti are all available winning managers as far as I'm aware.
